Unity tool
Find the sync bits your VRChat avatar is wasting
Pick your avatar and press Scan. The tool checks every Expression Parameter against the 256-bit budget, lists the empty, duplicate and unused ones, and removes the safe ones in a single step you can undo.
- NOMINAL Runs in the Unity editor
- READY Removal you can undo

What it does
Real bit costs
Bool 1 bit, Int 8, Float 8, unsynced 0, added up against the 256-bit limit.
Finds the waste
Empty slots, duplicate names and parameters no animator controller, blend tree, parameter driver or menu ever uses.
Safe removal with Undo
One button removes only the entries that are safe to drop. Ctrl+Z brings them back.
Advice, not guesses
Int parameters that only ever use 0 and 1 are flagged as Bool candidates for you to change by hand. Names like FT/, v2/ and OSC are marked "check first".
Who it is for
- VRChat avatar creators who hit the parameter limit and need room for one more toggle.
- Anyone tidying an avatar that has collected parameters from many prefabs.
Honest limits
- Tested in Unity 2022.3.22f1 with VRChat Avatars SDK 3.7.6 on a test avatar, not yet on a wide range of real avatars.
- Parameters read only by contact receivers, PhysBones, Constraints or external OSC apps look unused to it. Review the list before removing.
- It does not change Int parameters to Bool for you.
- Not affiliated with VRChat Inc. or Unity Technologies.
Details
- Included: The Unity package (UPM layout, VPM-compatible), a README and the licence.
Checked with unit tests and a Unity batchmode smoke test on a test avatar. Questions? Support.
